I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly happening.
